"Distant countries, almost unknown to me, atract me immensely. The idea to end-up somewhere at the end of the world only with a rucksuck and a sketchbook makes me feel like I am an adventurer anticipating a great secret to be discovered. To paint this adventurous travelling and collect it into one sketchbook, to turn this unknown place into something intimate, something one can call his/her own, a place that can be shared and can welcome other people to join this adventure - this is the most beautiful thing in the world."
